Precision-guided weapons are not the only weapons that represent the future of warfare. Non-lethal ones will play an increasingly important role as well, which will cause moral theologians to have to do a lot of rethinking if future warfare is able to capitalize on achieving war goals with fewer and fewer casualties.

One new weapon that has been announced is a stink bomb the Israelis are planning to use against Palestinian demonstrators.

They also invent several other non-lethal weapons. One that I know of is somekind of super slippery chemical. This chemical will be more slippery than oil+water. Another, I think is a device that jammed the electronic function of any electronic equipment (which we see alot in many film including Knight Rider :P).

"The new device...releases a cloud so pungent that according to initial tests it permeates clothes for five years..." Yup, that sounds about right.

My wife's been complaining about my use of stink bombs for years! They're only now beginning to employ these in the military?
