REST IN PEACE, SR. LUCIA.

Author: Jimmy Akin

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. Jimmy, I love her too. I also have a devotion to our Lady Of Fatima. I have been reading a lot of comments on your blog how your memory is so good. You are very, very intelligent, yet I think you are also very humble.

  2. I like that picture. An appropriate reminder for us during this time of Lent.
“You are dust, man, and to dust you shall return.”

  3. Dear Mr. Arkin: I found a photo of Sr. Lucia in her coffin.
But you should not discourage me by intimating that I am a conspiracy theroist. If your body was missing, I would insist that they find you too. Laura

  4. Does anyone know where I can find any additional photographs of Sister and her funeral?
    THANKS
