Me. On Fox. At 2:30 A.M.

Meonfox

Okay, I’m really not that sleepy. (Or wasn’t *AT THAT TIME.*) I picked a frame where I’m blinking.

But you can see other frames with my eyes wide open (if you have an interest in that).

Author: Jimmy Akin

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. Excellent Jimmy! You are not only a great apologist for the faith, but also one for the pope. You dispelled the “opinions” on the pope very well with a clear love for the man.

  2. Jimmy, you did a great job! I hope to see you more on Fox News. Next time, will you wear the cowboy hat? 🙂

  3. Jimmy,
Your limo driver was correct, you were very eloquent. Many of the interviews I’ve seen have been emotional testimony and largely anecdotal. There’s nothing wrong with that but I’m glad that yours had content. I’ve heard many mischaraterizations (stemming from bad journalism or from ignorance of the Church) so it was great that you set the record straight about the conservative nonsense. He was orthodox, not conservative.

  4. Welcome Readers of Jimmy Akin

  5. They must have rerun the clip because I saw you later in the day. I have listened to you on the radio for years and was pleasantly surprised to see you on t.v. I almost tripped over the dog hurrying to turn up the volume. You were so you, did a great job.

  6. JA —
I woke up with a start in the middle of the night and had this strange feeling. I thought that maybe JPII had passed so I got out of bed and turned on the tube. Boy was I startled to see you staring at me (looking about as sleepy as I was). I laughed so hard that I woke up my wife.
    Good Job!!
