This Is Why God Created Photoshop

Everybody else in the world has probably already seen this picture.

But I hadn’t.

Poor little electronically-composed kitten!

  1. I find it completely unbelievable how Howard Dean has been, and is continually, lampooned, slandered and basically laughed at in an “are you serious??????? GUFFAWWW” manner. The end result is that no one takes him seriously.
Why? For one AAARRGGH during the primary contest? Just one time and it lives in perpetuity!! Is it because he is a physician and not a professional politician? Is it because he rolls up his sleeves? Is it because he speaks his mind and doesn’t fit into other people’s sound bites or agendas? Does he remind us of ourselves too much and that makes us uncomfortable?
Daily, I am amazed at how he is talked about and represented. Don’t we all do things we wish we hadn’t done? But for the billionth time? and now with a kitty…. AAARRGGGHH?
WHO are these people? Who is behind this? Why do we buy what we are being sold? I mean, why don’t these same people, 50 times per day, show a sound bite clip of George W. Bush chuckling “Hey, bring them on!” and then show bombs going off, kidnappings, soldiers and civilians being killed and maimed!? “Hey, bring them on!!!” … “BRING ‘EM ON!!!!” With PhotoShop you could show a cat being blown through the air or to bits by a car bomb, too. “Bring ‘em on!!!!”
I am not saying necessarily that I support Howard Dean or do not. But this is another example of how we are being distracted or lulled to complacency, by AAARGGH or a Dean quote, away from more serious issues, policies or scary statements made by politicians with $1000 suits, plastered haircuts, paste-on-smiles and the obligatory line of lobbyist friends that goes around the corner.
He is not prefect and I don’t know if I like him or not, but… I find it refreshing to see Howard Dean in the midst of the other political clones that all look and sound alike. And, if you do some digging and check, I am sure you will find that Howard Dean likes cats, too.

  2. I find Dean refreshing too. I mean, how many politicians will strangle a harmless kitty on national TV? ARRRGGGHHHHH!!!! 😉

  3. I don’t like Howard Dean because he promotes the murdering of innocent helpless babies.
How can you not know if you like him or not?
Maybe the picture should have been a baby instead of a kitten and then it would have been addressing a “more serious issue” as you wished.

  4. “Every time you white Christians protest at an abortion clinic, I’m going to kill a kitten!”
    That should’ve been a caption contest pic…..

  5. I’d suggest Tim get a sense of humour, only I suspect he’d counter with a five paragraph lecture on why his sense of humour is perfectly fine, thank you very much.

  6. “Every time you white Christians protest at an abortion clinic, I’m going to kill a kitten!”
    ROTFLOL!!!!

  7. Eileen – point taken… I just don’t like to get my laughs at someone else’s expense. As one who doesn’t look like others (how God made me), I have spent decades supplying humour for others. I have become professional at “laughing WITH them”.
Fine. ok Howard Dean is a loon. And he is the only member of that club? So, which other loon(s) should we lambast now? Do we all feel better about ourselves now? (bummer… still three paragraphs short, eh?)

  8. Tim, a politician whom I supported and in fact was an acquaintance of my family once made in a very public fool of himself during an election campaign. It was really humiliating, people making fun of him in his wet suit. At the time,I was utterly furious. But, looking back, it was… rather funny.

  9. even if this is fake it could still offend alot of people and thats not right.
