Blog Day Lite

Just a note to let folks know that today will be lighter than usual on the blog.

I’m afraid that my neck was out last night. I’d went to my chiropractor after work, but my muscles had gotten too sore during the day and I had a really bad headache which interfered with blogging time.

I scheduled Michelle’s posts for the first ones in the day, but my own blogging will have to wait ’till tomorrow.

Sorry for the delay!

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. Sorry to hear about your neck, Jimmy! Been sticking it out again, huh? 🙂 Take care of yourself, we alway have the archives to rummage through.

  2. Jimmy,
A sore neck with headaches could be something not curable by a chiropractor. An MRI of the lower skull might be in order if this is a persistant problem. See if the alleviation methods posted at http://www.pressenter.com/~wacma/bhm-list.htm helps. If they do, you might have what is called an Arnold Chiari Malformation. Since this can be hereditary, review your family’s neurological history for similar problems.
I have the condition and help run a 4000 member support group. Contact me for details if you need additional information.

  3. Anyone else have the experience in high school that whenever you had a problem the nurse’s solution was always to put an ice pack on it? Broken arm? Ice pack. Flesh wound? Ice pack. Bird flu? That’s probably gonna need two ice packs.

  4. “Jimmy’s not blogging today and neither is Mark Shea. Wow! I might actually get some work done today!”
    Ain’t that the truth!
“That’s probably gonna need two ice packs.”
LOL! Thanks for the end o’ day laugh, Alois!

  5. But you sounded so chipper on Catholic Answers Live today! (thanks no doubt to a little bit of redemptive suffering) Get well soon!
