Good News For President Bush?

It’s been a hard last couple of months for President Bush.

It’s been difficult for the White House to get its message out, but it seems that some people have heard it.

President Bush will be pleased to hear that he has some enthusiastic supporters.

  1. I hear the Secret Service is very concerned that there was an exorcist seen trying to get near Chaney.

  2. Bush is in a real tight spot in the middle east.
If he pulls the troops out now, he wil be mocked by many and blamed for wasting American lives.
If he stays, the number of dead Americans will rise and may top 10,000 at some point.
And the budget deficit will be enourmous.
Here is how a average american can relate to it.
Assume you make a decent wage, $150,000 / year.
Now , assume you spend $200,000 a year.
also, assume you owe $1,000,000 at 6%.
The impact of the Iraqi war is like raising your spending to $240,000 a year.
Keep in mind your interest cost is about $60,000 a year out of your $150,000 salary.
Now: assume your interest cost on the $1,000,000 debt you owe is soon to be $70,000 then $80,000.
As you can see, you need to raise your income much higher to pay all the other expenses you have. That means raising taxes.
The next president, is going to have to raise taxes in big way.
No entity can collect $150,000 / year and pay out $300,000 without massive inflation via government borrowing entering the picture.
Inflation = more money chasing same amount of goods and services.

  3. Another take:
Imagine you make a decent wage: $60,000/year
Your daughter requires surgery in order to live: $100,000.
You get a loan, pay interest on the loan, seek help to make payments and pray. You daughter lives, you have considerable debt, but I’m sure the Lord with provide.
The bottom line is, are the costs out weighing the cost of Iraq running amok and terrorism not having a focal point to contain?
Unfortunately, I haven’t heard the MP3 that is the topic here, so hopefully I’m not out of line.

  4. Adrian. CatholicDef.
What you need to do is listen to the song.
‘Cause both of you are missing the main issues here.
The main issues to the song are Davy crockett, Peter Pan, Elvis Presley, Disneyland.
Also important to remember is Starkweather, Homicide, Children of Thalidomide.
And, dudes. JFK blown away. What else do I have to say?

  5. $150,000 a year???????
imagine you are part of the other 95% of the 300 million Americans who make $30,000 or less.
think about the vast majority of us… not just “his support base”

  6. $150,000 is a fairly common income level today.
Well over 25% of families pull in $100,000.
In my opinion, Iraq is a lost cause. We should get out now, and the insurgents are no threat to America.
Myth: all sorts of foriegn fighters are coming into Iraq to fight as terrorists against coalition forces.
Truth: 94% of the insurgents are Iraqi’s. 6% are out of towners !
These are Iraqi’s who want the occupation to end.
There are 60,000 insurgents. 27,000,000 Iraqi’s is a big pool of insurgents to draw from and add to the 60,000 fighting the occupation.
America cannot hang out and let 3,000 soldiers die each year and 27,000 get wounded.
We will not have a army in 4 years.
Folks, we have 40,000 of our army wiped out from death and injuries in 2.5 years.
    Do the math !
30,000 casualties per year is insane.
America does not have the manpower to keep this up, and it will scare off recruits in a huge way.
I really hope the democrats get to the bottom of this war effort and the false intell that helped ignite it.
