To Speak To A Live Person, Press…

You’ve called some company and have found yourself lost in a veritable maze of voice mail instructions, none of which gives you the number to press to speak to a real live human being who can answer your question or fix your problem quickly and easily. Have you ever wondered if there is some way to break through the system and be routed to the human being to whom you need to talk? There is! One enterprising individual has put together some crib notes to keep on hand the next time you’re winding your way through Voice Mail Purgatory.

GET THE LIST.

  1. Wow, a list from Paul English! This list was also advertised on FOX-TV 25 in Boston. If you go up a link to his home page, you will find “Six Deadly Sins of the Catholic Church”:
    1. Arrogance, 2. Gay, 3. Women, 4. Birth Control 5. Celibacy 6. The Pope.
    BE AWARE!

  2. Well…
If you read the comments Pazdziernik refers to in their entirety on Paul English’s site it is not difficult to see why his greater contribution is dialing numbers and mapping phone trees.
Someone ought to give him the direct line to Catholic Answers.

  3. The most annoying thing is when you type all that info in, your soc, your home phone, your account #, then you get on with a live agent and they STILL ask for all that info. It’s like… why did I just type it in???? Mostly it’s just for their bosses, so they can use the statistical data. Growl.
Of course, I work in an office where there’s a phone queue to get through, and people press the first button they hear, or no button at all, and end up with the wrong personell. I can’t transfer them, that’d be*rude.* I haveta try to solve a problem that is not my expertise. Or stand behind someone else who isn’t a Mac or Endnote expert and try to talk them through helping someone who bumped themselves into the wrong phone queue.
    You can’t win, really 🙂
