JA.O has run pictures before of the work of sand-sculptor extraordinaire Steven D. Greydanus.

But he’s got competition in the field of religious sand sculpting.

Here’s hoping you’ll take on a challenge like this one, Steve!

St. Joseph was an older man. At least from tradition. It is speculated that he might have possibly have been a widower, but he most likely was much older than Mary.

St. Joseph looks really old.

She's done the birth, SDG has done the crucifiction; how about the resurrection?
Or better yet, team up and create a stations of the cross. Perhaps, you could do it on the Catholic Answers cruise around the mediterranean--has that happened yet, right?

You can see similar quality (religious-themed as well) at Ocean City, MD.

Wow.
I hope this lady is a professional sculptress. The art world could use her!

SDG:
There's no competition. I'm a dabbler. This lady's the real deal. :-)
Not bad, not bad at all!
You're pretty good!

SDG,
No question she's better lookin' than you. But you still do nice work ...

Isn't it in a certain commercial, Trump built a fancy sandcastle himself? ;^)
Of course, nothing that comes remotely close to this magnificent piece right here!

Didn't Jesus warn about building on sand?

There's no competition. I'm a dabbler. This lady's the real deal. :-)
