What Is the Holy Spirit?

Catholic Answers has started a new video channel on YouTube, and I'll be posting items from it from time to time.

Author: Jimmy Akin

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. Now that you guys are on camera Patrick can’t sneak messages on his white board!! Big brother is watching!
You guys at CA are great! Love the show.

  2. Wonderful. It may be a sign of computer-induced ADD, but I much prefer seeing a speaker to just hearing a speaker.
P.S. Is that a diet Dr. Pepper? If so, great minds drink alike. 😀

  3. Ohhh Nooo Not only do I have to listen to you guys on my 8 gigs i-pod for an hour at the club @ 7 AM and then 2 miles around the track (listening to back issues) then Al fr 1 to 3 and u guys live fr 3 – 5 PM and then again at midnight in bed with my ear phones on —NOW I even have to watch you on face-book every day cept Sat & Suns. The only break I get is saying the rosary at 6 AM and Mass at 6:30 every day. My wife thinks I’m a religious fanatic-ALL YOUR FAULT. She is the normal one around here except she is a Calvery Chapel Product doing RCIA recycle for the 2nd consecutive year Thanks Loads – Bruce & God Bless

  4. I’m can’t believe Jimmy doesn’t wear his cowboy hat while on the air! All these years I have been picturing him wearing his cowboy hat…

  5. Whose voice is that saying “Out of the mouths of babes comes wisdom” at the end? Is it a canned recording? It was a bit startling.
