Are Your Kids Overweight?

A Journal of the American Medical Association article wants them taken away from you and put in foster care.

You did know that your kids are just on loan from the state to begin with, right?

  1. Not surprising, governments are already looking to take away your children because you raise them to be Christians and teaching them values like homosexuality is wrong. That’s dangerous thinking there Jimmy!

  2. That’s funny, I didn’t become overweight until I went into foster care. And for that matter, with so few foster parents out there that I had to share mine with 7 other kids (I wasn’t the only one who got overweight) and so many kids who need foster care for legitimate reasons (parents are crazy, drug dealers, murderers, etc.) where do they think they are going to house all the fat kids? Do they really want to put “normal” fat kids in with kids who are getting over the trauma of watching daddy kill mommy?

  3. OTOH, this was a girl who weighed 90 lbs at 3 and 400 lbs at 12, when she had serious medical problems consequently — high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure and sleep apnea.

  4. The article also says that her parents had physical disabilities and difficulty in this situation. We do not know what, if anything, was done to help them before taking the child, by family, friends or the state.
