Cool Timeline of Doctor Who’s Companions

(CHT to the FB friend who shared the link!)
While who counts as a companion is sometimes debatable (e.g., people who appear only in one-off specials), this was a good, thorough job. They even got in the very short-run companions from the old days, like Katarina and Dodo, who didn't work out.

Author: Jimmy Akin

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. Well, his Eightth incarnation apparently DID have all that gold dust just lying around the TARDIS… to fend off the Cybermen… yeah, that’s the ticket… 🙂

  2. This is a wonderful opinion. The things mentioned are unanimous and needs to be appreciated by everyone. Thanks for sharing this subject!

  3. What a surprise – I really didn’t know people in the USA watched Dr Who. Has every episode been seen since 1963?

  4. @Andrew Linehan:
One difficultly for us in the U.S. is that many of us have never had the chance to see some of the originals. Many of the early episodes were destroyed/lost. If you look on youtube, however, you can sometimes find the audio with pictures from the set.
