Nunblog

St. Blog’s Parish has many fine priestly blogs, and I am now happy to give equal time to a nun’s blog — appropriately titled Nunblog.  Sr. Anne is a Daughter of St. Paul from Chicago.  Appropriately enough, Sr. Anne’s order’s charism is evangelization through the various forms of media.  I’ve only had time to scan through her site, but it looks interesting and has some lovely photos of a recent trip to Rome.

(Nod to Karen Hall of Some Have Hats, a Catholic writer who also has a fine blog you should check out.)

  1. The same Karen Hall who spent a great deal of time in 2003 spewing venom against the Pope?
    Here for example

    The Pope and the Peaceniks
The pope has officially endorsed the “Don’t Pick On the Brutal Dictator!” movement. In a letter to a group of military chaplains. Not “thank you for risking your lives to provide spiritual and sacramental support to the brave young men and women who are risking their lives trying to free the Iraqi citizens from an evil lunatic who has turned their country into one big concentration camp.”
Well, I’ve already explained this in crayon several times. Let’s try it in “See Spot Run.”
See the peaceful Americans. See the peaceful Americans minding their own business. See the Islamic extremists crash airplanes into the buildings and kill 3,000 of the peaceful Americans. See the rest of the Islamic extremists, dancing in the streets and yelling “Death to America!” See the brutal dictator with huge quantities of anthrax and VX gas. See the dead people he has already killed. See the Islamic extremists say, “Psst. How much for some of that nerve gas?”
See the burtal dictator say, “I’d love to help you, because there’s nothing that would make me happier than many, many dead infidels, especially dead American infidels. But I can’t help noticing that there’s a large peace movement, and the Holy Father is on their side. So I’ll just have to stick to gassing my own people and putting them through plastic shredders. That doesn’t seem to bother him. At least, he’s never mentioned it.”
Sorry. The more the Official Church aligns itself with the so-called Peace Movement, the crankier I’m going to get.”

    Her new-found reverence is odd.
