Murderous Assistant-Murderess Fired In Sacramento

Okay, so there was this drama teacher at Loretto High School in Sacramento, California. Loretto is an all-girls Catholic high school, and it employs teachers from different faith backgrounds (i.e., Catholic and non-Catholic).

It turned out that it’s drama teacher (who happens to be non-Catholic, though that doesn’t make any difference) is an assistant murderess. In other words, she helps other people commit murder.

When this was discovered by one plucky, anti-murder student at Loretto, her family got involved, reported it to the bishop–with photos as proof–and the bishop ordered that the murder-assisting drama teacher be dismissed.

GO BISH!

Now, the Sacramento Bee (the local liberal newsrag) decided to do a piece on the story outing the anti-murder family publicly and using a variety of the standard journalistic tricks to portray the family’s and the bishop’s actions as hard and unfeeling toward the assistant murderess since there are a lot of people in Sacramento (and the school) who support murder.

Her family now having been outed, the plucky anti-murder student is now free to talk about all the details on her blog–including details left out by the Bee’s sting piece.

This has attracted a lot of ugly evil whacko murder-supporters to the student’s combox.

So may I suggest that you head over yonder and

GET THE STORY

and leave the plucky anti-murder student some positive reinforcement in her combox?

GO PLUCKY ANTI-MURDER STUDENT! BEST OF LUCK TO YOU IN ALL YOUR EFFORTS!

  1. …and leave the plucky anti-murder student some positive reinforcement in her combox?
    Done. Thanks for that link.

  2. Teacher who assisted with abortions gets fired from Catholic School

I just found out about this over at Jimmy Akins place.
The mother of a Loretto High School student obtained photographs that exposed a drama teacher as a former Planned Parenthood volunteer, a revelation that led to the teachers firin…

  3. Done. I really can’t believe some of the comments. I’m a public school teacher, and it is DRILLED INTO OUR BRAINS throughout the certification process that our off-duty activities can affect whether we get and retain our jobs. That woman was incredibly dense to choose to work at an institution whose teachings condemn her activities as murder.

  4. Her and her mother’s standing up for the Faith sure brought the anti-Catholic bigots out of the woodwork!

  5. First of all, I would like to say that I will pray for Katelyn and her family for the persecution that will come.
Secondly, does anyone out there have any documents or documentation from any diocese in the country that requires its teachers to take/sign a pledge that outlines certain responsibilities and the notion of public scandal?
I have seen something similar for those who exercise Church ministry publicly (lectors, EMHCs, catechists), but I have not seen one for teachers in Catholic schools.
“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so men persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

  6. Combox warriors unite and prepare for battle! Onwards Christian soldiers!
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord,
he is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored…doo doo doo…

  7. I’d like to second ukok’s comment.
Katelyn is a very intelligent and mature young woman. If she keeps up her political interest, maybe someday she could replace her state’s two pro-abortion senators.
    Peace be with you,
    Bob

  8. Left a word of encouragement with Katelyn and her family.
It’s not often one reads of the strength of the Catholic Church from our youth. Many speak of the days of Joan of Ark (not to be confused with the TV show Joan of Arcadia)as long gone, however I believe our Catholic Church is in good hands and has a bright future with people like Katelyn leading the way!
I’ll leave you with one of my favorite B16 sayings:
“Each of us is a result of a thought of God,
    Each of us is willed,
    Each of us is Necessary.”

  9. Oh man, some of the comments left by the baby-killers are filthy disgusting.
It’s so hard to love your enemies.

  10. Thanks for posting the link to Katelyn’s blog, Jimmy! Seems she’s a very strong young woman but a little encouragement is always needed!

  11. Joan of Ark (not to be confused with the TV show Joan of Arcadia)
It’s Joan of Arc, spelled like Arcadia 😉

  12. Thank you so very much for posting this, Jimmy. It really seems to have made it ’round the blogs.
When I left my comment this morning, it was one of only a handful of sympathetic comments among 120+ posts.
Now that I am back from work, I see that there are not only more than twice as many posts, but they are overwhelmingly in support of this young woman.

  13. Yes, Benedict. And have you noticed the dramatic change in tone, too? Amazing how much more civil things are there now.

  14. If this teacher had not be found out and had helped a teenager in this school procure an abortion — thereby covering up that the teenager was sexually abused, in violation of law — I wonder what the indignation would be about.

  15. In the nature of a suit the questions will be whether:
1)The teacher engaged in activities contrary to Catholic teaching while as an employee of the school.
    2) Another factor could be the employment interview where (hopefully) the principal asked some sort of question about recent activities against Catholics or or Catholic social teaching.
This is important because the teacher isn’t Catholic. The general “are you a Catholic in communion with the Church” question which would trip up Ms. Bain in an interview doesn’t apply here. You have the assume with a non-Catholic they have NO knowledge of Catholic social teaching. Remember this different from not renewing a teacher’s contract. She was fired in mid-term. The school will have to show just cause that she willfully defied her contract or lied during the job interview.
Another question that hasn’t been asked is whether Ms. Bain changed her mind about abortion after being an escort. I hope the officials in charge were competent to ask whether she regreted those actions now that she was an employee of Loretto. We can only hope for the school that she said that said something to effect that that was here private life and had nothing to do with her role as a school teacher.
Also on thing about this is that she is a new hire. Hopefully Loretto has some sort of probationary period clause which gives them broad discretion in firing.

  16. Thanks for posting the link. I wish I’d had that kind of moral fortitude when I was Katelyn’s age.
David , you said “You have the assume with a non-Catholic they have NO knowledge of Catholic social teaching”
Sorry, but I think it’s public knowledge that the Catholic Church does not sanction abortion under any circumstances. One does not have to be a Catholic to know that.

  18. I believe this school is only the tip of the iceberg. Having taught in Catholic schools for 18 years and realizing that the past two generations of Catholics have been raised on pablum and worse, don’t know the Faith, and buy into the culture of Me, Me, Me, it’s all about Me, one feels hopeless about Catholic schools in general. Parents should take responsibility for teaching their children. Home-schooled children today are well-balanced, from what I’ve seen in our parish, and grow up”normal,” uninfluenced by the culture of death. They know how to think, reason, pray, and put God and their eternal salvation first. NOT TRUE in Catholic schools; the students are not much different from public schools kids, and neither are their parents much different from their pagan neighbors. Our country, our Church and our Catholic schools need much prayer and change for the better. Time to shut the schools and re-open them only when teachers and administrators adhere to the true Faith and model this to their students and parents.
