Run!!! It’s The Easter Bunny!!!

A reader writes:

Jimmy, Just writing to say I was a little perturbed by the attached photo I saw on the Catholic Answers website.  Has everything been okay around the studio?

His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. Without a doubt, that is the most sinister EB I’ve ever seen.
I never believed the “EB is evil” meme . . . until now! Thing looks like it wants to ead Karl’s face!

  2. There’s been a big misunderstanding. This was filmed during the hourn on Catholic alien abductions as part of a tie-in to Coast-to-Coast AM.

  3. The Saxon goddess Eostre doesn’t like her holiday being usurped by unbelieving Christians.

  4. It’s not so much that your newest cohost is a 6 foot tall, talking rabbit… it’s the evil look on his ferrity little face that makes us wonder…

  5. Suddenly, I don’t blame President Carter for being afraid of that rabbit that attacked him.

  6. I think you’re right, R Chavez . . . he hasn’t aged well at all!
And has anyone else noticed that the EB has the same look Tom Cruise did during that interview with Matt Lauer? “You don’t know milk chocolate malted eggs, Karl; I know milk chocolate malted eggs!”

  7. Brother Maynard, bring out the Holy Hand Grenade!
Die Jesu domine, Dona eis requiem.

  8. I warned you.
    I warned you
but did you listen to me oh no
    you oh
    oh did’t you
oh, its just a harmless little bunny isn’t it.
Well it’s always the same, I always tell them but do they listen to me oh no…

  9. Here comes Antichrist Cottontail,
    Hoppin’ down the Dragon’s Tail,
Hippity, hop Arma- -geddon’s on its way…
    Bringing ev’ry girl and boy
Lots of bombs that will destroy
Hippity hop Arma- -geddon’s on its way!

  10. I never believed the “EB is evil” meme . . . until now!
Hmmm. I didn’t know that I’d birthed any memes. I thought it was just an in-joke.
If it starts showing up on other blogs, though, then it’d be a clear cut meme, I guess.

  11. “Harvey” is just Easter Bunny propaganda, designed to make us think he’s just a puckish but harmless pooka. Don’t be fooled.

  12. Pookas are not harmless little (or even 6-foot tall) rabbits; I learned about it as a black horse that, if you are so foolish as to get up on its back, will bring you for a terrifying ride and even drown you in the nearest lake or river. Also, you should not gather blackberries after Hallowe’en as the pooka has spat on them and they will make you ill.
I have no idea how the makers of “Harvey” decided that a friendly giant rabbit fit the image of a pooka, but that one in the picture is very, very scary.

  13. “Hmmm. I didn’t know that I’d birthed any memes.”
Yeah, it’s probably not an official meme yet. But it’s just a matter of time before it catches on – I mean, look at the thing! It’s hideous!
Those teeth really creep me out!

  14. I think he’s an evangelistic tool. Karl shows him to people and says: “Pray…or else!”
