Author: Jimmy Akin

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. Jimmy,
Do you write these posts and post them the night before or do you get up at 3:00 in the morning?
I got up at 5:30 AM CST and at 5:45 I checked your blog and you had these posts up already!
    You are sure working overtime!
May your pumpikn patch be the most sincere tonight!

  2. Not as easy at it might appear, but fun!
That’s one of the things that makes Jimmy’s blog the best on the web.

  3. . . . no glory?
I love things like this. Must be the (very slightly) sublimated artiste in me. 😉
