At The Movies

A while back I told everyone about A FEEL-GOOD FILM FOR TH WHOLE FAMILY (whose trailer is now on YouTube).

Now I’d like to let you know about what looks to be a chilling thriller of the first rank . . .

(CHT: Southern Appeal.)

Author: Jimmy Akin

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. You link to Youtube, and then provide a link to Southern Appeal who also has a link to Youtube. Well that certainly helped.

  2. Ahh, I just realize I never saw Office Space. Should I watch it so I can appreciate the “slasher version”?

  3. I’ve never even heard of, much less seen, “Office Space.” The humor in this trailer escaped me entirely… But the Shining trailer is just brilliant.

  4. If you haven’t seen Office Space there is no way to appreciate the faux trailer.
And, yes, Office Space is hilarious — but it does contain sexual situations.
‘thann (who used to work in cubicle-land and now works from home where no one can steal her red stapler!)

  5. Hm, that “What the Maynard? dot com” bit at the end sounds like they cribbed the sung “dot com” from Expedia.com.
    Really funny BTW.
