Blog Day Off

2 Tired. 2 Blog. 2 Nite.

Sorry.

Author: Jimmy Akin

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. Whoa! Jimmy must be REAL tired!
He mis-spelled Blog as “Blod” in the Main Title of his post!
    Get some rest, Brutha!
Have a Happy Blod Day Off! ;^)

  2. I think it’s time for the spam insurance/lawyer guy to take a day off…better yet, just quit!

  3. I hate spam. Spam is an intrinsic evil. Spam is objectively disordered.
Spam is a social evil, and a nasty personal habit.
Spam is also processed ham in a can, which isn’t really that bad.
In fact, I love it. I’m having spam spam spam spam spam spam spam beaked beans spam spam spam and spam!

  4. Have a good rest Jimmy, after all, if you haven’t got your health, you haven’t got anything!

  5. Mom (may I call you Mom?)-
I’m not really a morning person. I tend to think in sentence fragments before about 10 am… you know, “where coffee?”, “fire GOOD”… things like that.
Also, my editing filter kicks in just as sluggishly, so anything that pops into my head is likely to end up plastered all over the blogosphere for eternity.

  6. Did anyone esle find those law and herbal tea links helpful? I just bookmarked all 527 of them. Boy is my day looking bright!

  7. Blog Day Off
    Kewl! The title was corrected!
See, folks, not everything is written in stone! ;^)

  8. Requiescas in pace!
    Jeff,
As far as I know, Jimmy Akin needs a nap, some real good rest —
Please, don’t dismiss him to the afterlife just this yet! He still has much work to do in Christ’s name in this one! ;^)

  9. Tim, I’m glad you clarified for Momof6. I was beginning to think you were getting a Dr. Seuss attack.

  10. Tim J,
I don’t know you mean by the Spam sketch. Is it a Monty Python thing? You remind me of the song:
    Lovely spam, Wonderful Spa-a-m
    Lovely spam, Wonderful Spa-a-m
    Spa-a-a-a-a-a-a-am
    Spa-a-a-a-a-a-a-am
    SPA-A-A-A-A-A-A-AM
    SPA-A-A-A-A-A-A-AM
    LOVELY SPAM, (LOVELY SPAM)
    LOVELY SPAM, (LOVELY SPAM)
    LOVELY SPA-A-A-A-AM
    SPA-AM
    SPA-AM
    SPA-AM
    SPA-A-A-AM!

  11. “I’m having spam spam spam spam spam spam spam beaked beans spam spam spam and spam!”
Has it got much Spam in it???

  12. I’m so sheltered, I don’t know much about Monty Python. I admit that when I here “Spam” I think more about “Wham” as in “Mr. Blandings Builds a House”.
And I’m with you, Tim, in not being much of a morning person. I think in terms such as, “must nurse baby”, “children make coffee”.
