Entertainer

Author: Jimmy Akin

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. Re: your last comment on the clip … we all know you save your intimidation skills for trolls who violate DA RULZ 😉

  2. Nice clear narration, good timing with the prop, steady camera. You might just have a future in this sort of thing, though right now it still seems mostly like ‘radio with pictures’.

  3. With a post title like that, I was expecting the video clip to have snippets of the song “The Entertainer.” I was disappointed.
    😛

  4. From the story I though she was going to confuse “caller” as a male “call girl” outta get my head out of the gutter.
But Jimmy, really, how about a clip of you calling a dance.

  5. That would have been appropriate background music, JoAnna, or a recording of him calling.

  6. Oops, should have watched the whole video before asking that question. Sorry. 🙂
